We are the only physical therapy group in the area to use the following two modalities to treat patients with slight swelling, pain and stiffness:

LASER: Laser light therapy is a physical modality that emits light in very specific regions of the electromagnetic spectrum.  Its clinical benefits include relief of pain from minor muscular and joints aches, pain and stiffness associated with arthritis, relaxing muscle spasms and increasing local blood circulation.

HIVAMAT: A unique modality that “kneads” soft tissue with a gentle, vibrating mechanical force. It requires minimal external pressure by the hands of the therapist and has many benefits including  pain relief, decreased edema, improved sensitivity, decreased spasms, increased relaxation and an immediate feeling of well-being. Hivamat application is ideal for patients that are very acute and not quite ready for therapeutic, “hands-on” massage.
